"A Reason to Connect. My advice:
- Stand out, be different than others and memorable (professionally) in your approach
- Offer value, offer a reason for me to connect, meet up, Zoom, or chat with you -- even just connect with you. There are so many, its easier for leaders and targets to hit 'no' than respond to everyone. Make that harder
- Be personal, show detail and research and value propositions that are tailored to me and my interests. Understand who I am and what I do. It takes time, sure, but it will have a higher return rate and I will lend a much more attuned ear to you
- Follow up. If I didn't respond, stand out more until I say 'no.' Change your value proposition and your content to me, the chances of a positive outcome are higher when you do so."
"God bless all who endeavor to be their brother’s keeper, who give to ameliorate suffering, who strive with all that is good within them to make a better world. Have your noticed that such individuals have a brighter smile? Their footsteps are more certain. They have an aura about them of contentment and satisfaction . . . for one cannot participate in helping others without experiencing a rich blessing himself.”
Thomas S. Monson
